Hi, I'm Dr. Josie Schwartz
I help kids, teens, and adults who are carrying more than they should have to; anxiety that won't quiet down, the aftermath of something hard, or just the sense that things haven't felt okay in a while.
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in New York, and I believe therapy should feel like a real relationship, not a clinical checklist.
I approach every session with curiosity, warmth, and a good dose of realness; so we can work through anxiety, process what's happened, and build a life that actually feels like yours again.

You’re in the right place if…
You or your child are carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, or a hard life transition and need a compassionate guide through the noise.
You're looking for a therapy space where you don't have to hold it all together; somewhere warm and judgment-free, where big feelings and messy stories are actually welcome.
You want more than quick fixes. You're looking for real change: feeling grounded, understanding your patterns, and reconnecting with your own strengths.
You want a therapist who actually fits you; not just any name off a list, but someone who works with you, at your pace.
Specialized care for children, teens, adults, and families in the following areas:
Anxiety & Stress
Practical tools to calm an overactive nervous system and find your footing day to day.
Trauma & PTSD
A safe, steady space to process what happened and feel secure in your body and mind again.
Life Transitions
Support through the moves, milestones, and family shifts that throw everything off balance.
Depression & Low Mood
A compassionate space to work through the heaviness and reconnect with what feels good.
Meet
Dr. Josie
I work with children, teens, and adults, drawing on years of training as a child, adolescent, and family therapist across hospitals, crisis centers, and outpatient clinics. That range taught me how to meet people exactly where they are, whether that's a first-time client nervous about starting therapy or someone navigating something really acute.
Outside the therapy room, I'm usually behind a camera or on a yoga mat; both of which taught me a lot about paying attention and being fully present, which is something I try to bring into every session.

How We Can
Work Together
I offer personalized, evidence-based therapy designed around your unique needs, goals, and pace. Together, we’ll work to safely process trauma, navigate intense anxiety, and move through life’s transitions with more confidence and clarity.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one work for children, teens, and adults. I draw on tools like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), but a lot of what happens in session is simply having a space to think out loud with someone who's paying close attention.
Child Therapy
Through play and curiosity, I help kids feel safe enough to be themselves. Play therapy lets young clients work through big emotions and build coping skills in a way that actually makes sense for a kid; not a mini-adult.
Parenting & Family Support
Collaborative support to help you communicate better and understand what's really going on beneath the surface; for you and your child.
Family Therapy
Helping families break old patterns, understand each other better, and rebuild connection.
